Mr. Madan Rai is a young right activist from Nepal. He is a media entrepreneur, Researcher, Journalist and Lecturer of mass communication and journalism. He is an M.Phil. in Journalism and Bachelor in law. He is the President of the United Nations Youth and Student Association Nepal (UNYSAN). He works as an Editor-in-chief at The Youth Times. He leads the young journalists’ forum National Youth journalist Nepal as the president. He is a former delegate from Nepal in United Nations forum on Human rights, Rule of Law and Democracy. He represented Nepali Youth at WFUNA Youth Seminar: Kuala Lumpur as a delegate. Rai had worked a DPI Officer of WFUNA International MUN-2017 and had worked as Photographer for the same conference in 2015. He is a proactive and dynamic youth activist who took leadership of UNYSAN’s Earthquake Relief Campaign-2015.

Madan Rai was born and grew up in a rural village of Solukhumbu namely Jubu. His remote village still a one-day long far from the district headquarters. He studied up to his 7th grade in a local school. After that, he moved to the capital city of Nepal Kathmandu for further study in 2002 and joined Koteswor Saraswati Secondary School. In 2006, he finished School Leaving Certificate (SLC) in 2006. He was a curious type and a brilliant student. He was fueled by the statement “go above the average” from his very early age.
